Job Summary

The Piping Engineering Lead will oversee the design and installation of piping systems for transporting fluids and gases within the refinery development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and construct piping systems for the refinery.
  • Develop piping design standards and parameters.
  • Define piping material and system standards.
  • Participate in contract negotiations.
  • Conduct technical and environmental studies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, HSEQ, E&S, commercial and legal teams.
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with maintenance teams on piping asset integrity.
  • Develop and implement piping maintenance systems.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in piping and/or materials engineering.
  • Experience in refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, pipeline or manufacturing environments.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Professional engineering registration is an added advantage.
  • Project management training is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of materials selection, corrosion control, fabrication and construction quality assurance is essential.
  • Oil and gas experience is an added advantage.
