Job Summary

The Specialities Products Trading Specialist will support business development and growth of the specialties petroleum products trading business through sales, marketing, customer relationship management, logistics and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market surveys and demand forecasting.
  • Analyse sourcing and stocking requirements.
  • Support development of trading processes and procedures.
  • Support pricing strategies, promotions and new product development.
  • Monitor industry specifications and market requirements.
  • Manage regional and local logistics processes.
  • Work with QHSSE teams on product handling and storage.
  • Support customer onboarding and relationship management.
  • Provide technical input during negotiations.
  • Prepare business updates for shareholders and stakeholders.
  • Participate in annual stakeholder engagement planning.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Industrial Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Business Development or a related technical field.
  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience in business development or marketing of downstream petroleum products, FMCG or services.
  • Sales and marketing experience in B2B or retail business.
  • Customer relationship management experience.
