Job Overview

The Senior Quality Inspector applies best practices and industry knowledge to improve inspection processes. The role involves solving complex quality issues, guiding less experienced colleagues, and ensuring products and services meet required standards. The position impacts customer, operational, and project outcomes while ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervise quality control activities to ensure product conformity with customer specifications and Project Quality Plans
  • Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented and resolved
  • Lead and participate in inspection activities to maintain product quality
  • Work with the Project Quality Manager to improve quality processes and resource utilization
  • Evaluate and manage non-conforming materials or products
  • Develop Project Quality Plans, inspection, and test plans
  • Liaise with QC, NDT, certification, welding engineering teams, and customers to resolve quality issues
  • Assess product quality against inspection plans and determine conformity
  • Interpret applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements, documenting deviations where necessary
  • Coordinate with operations, clients, certifying authorities, and subcontractors to ensure compliance
  • Verify inspector performance through audits
  • Proactively prevent quality issues by working closely with production and engineering teams
  • Engage with customer representatives to ensure quality compliance and stage approvals

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education

  • Senior high school certificate or a degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality control or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
