Senior Manager, Trade & Balance Sheet Solutions

Job Summary

Responsible for driving sales strategy and execution for trade finance and working capital products to achieve significant revenue growth. The role serves as the primary sales lead for solutions such as letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, and invoice discounting.

The position involves originating, structuring, and closing complex deals, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions across Tanzania and key economic corridors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales strategy and execution for trade finance and working capital solutions
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow revenue
  • Structure and close complex client deals
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across diverse sectors
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with product and internal teams to deliver customized solutions
  • Contribute to client experience strategies and execute tailored engagements
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to drive market growth
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and audit requirements
  • Support ESG-aligned initiatives based on client and market insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Professional certifications in Trade Finance (CDCS, CSDG, CTFP) are an added advantage

Experience Required

  • 8–10 years of experience in transaction banking, corporate banking, or financial services
  • Strong background in trade finance and working capital products
  • Proven experience in client-facing sales or business development roles
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and deliver complex financial solutions
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience contributing to client experience strategies and execution
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in relevant markets
  • Ability to identify and implement process and solution improvements
