Job Summary

Applications are invited from qualified and eligible Ugandan citizens to fill vacant Medical Officer positions within the Health Departments of Kassanda District Local Government. The role involves delivering essential medical services within the public healthcare system in line with government standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

(Standard Medical Officer duties as per public health service roles)

  • Provide clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients in health facilities.
  • Offer both outpatient and inpatient medical services.
  • Participate in preventive and promotive health programs within the district.
  • Manage emergency and referral cases appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medical reports.
  • Ensure adherence to national clinical guidelines and public health policies.
  • Participate in community health outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals and district health teams.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 months clinical experience.

Professional Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).
  • Valid practicing license required where applicable.
