Job Summary
The KIP Project Planning Officer will monitor and support development of projects in the Kabalega Industrial Park, ensuring infrastructure is sustainably designed, spatially optimized and aligned with international eco-industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site master plans, spatial zoning and land-use strategies.
- Create 3D visualizations, artistic impressions and walkthrough animations.
- Integrate green building principles and climate-resilient designs.
- Produce architectural working drawings and technical documentation.
- Review investor building proposals for compliance.
- Support implementation of the KIP Development and Operations Strategy.
- Develop project risk mitigation plans.
- Support project design, costing, prioritization, scheduling and budgeting.
- Participate in procurement and contract management.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure.
- Ensure QHSSE systems are applied.
- Prepare periodic implementation reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Architecture.
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Professional licensing registration is an added advantage.
- Experience developing complex master plans and large-scale site layouts.
- Experience with sustainable green building projects is preferred.
- Project planning and management training is an added advantage.
- Stakeholder and contractor management experience is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Lumion and AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of SAP, PIMS, Microsoft applications and project management software is an added advantage.
