Job Summary

The Communications Officer will support the development and execution of strategic internal and external communication programmes aligned with UNOC’s vision, culture and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual communications and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Develop newsletters, intranet content, staff notices and leadership messages.
  • Manage corporate website and intranet content.
  • Develop communication content for email, WhatsApp and other platforms.
  • Support social media content creation, scheduling, monitoring and reporting.
  • Monitor media coverage and online conversations.
  • Support press conferences, interviews and media engagements.
  • Support photography, videography and multimedia production.
  • Maintain communication materials and media databases.
  • Measure communication and digital channel performance.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, International Relations, Languages and Linguistics, Information Management Systems or a relevant discipline.
  • At least 4 years’ relevant experience in corporate communications, PR, journalism, media, digital communications, marketing communications, broadcasting or related fields.
  • Professional communications certification or postgraduate training is an added advantage.
  • Professional membership is an added advantage.
  • Experience managing social media or digital media channels is essential.
