How Can You Make a Difference?
The Supply and Logistics Officer reports to the Head of Operations or Supply and Logistics Manager/Specialist, depending on the Country Office structure. The role provides technical and operational support and is responsible for managing supply chains in a small country office or specific components within a larger operation.
Responsibilities include planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in-country transport and distribution, and monitoring of supplies, services, and construction works. The role also supports collaboration with programme teams to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs and deliver results for children, while providing technical and advisory support to governments, national systems, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Service Delivery & Emergency Response
- Plan, manage, and monitor end-to-end supply chain operations
- Ensure timely, ethical, and cost-effective delivery of supplies and services
- Strengthen emergency preparedness and response capacity
2. Collaboration with Programme & Implementing Partners
- Work closely with programme teams, donors, and implementing partners
- Support the design, planning, and delivery of supply components
- Contribute to partnerships, PCAs, and HACT processes to ensure accountability and results
3. Technical & Advisory Support to Government / National Systems
- Provide technical guidance to strengthen national supply chains
- Support capacity development and supply chain reforms
- Promote sustainable solutions to improve access to essential supplies
4. Innovation, Products & Markets
- Promote innovation in supply chain management
- Support development of new products and services
- Contribute to market shaping and local market development
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, or a related field
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration, or related fields
- Understanding of development and humanitarian contexts

Language Requirements
- Fluency in English
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of another UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language
- Experience in health supply chains or emergency response
- Experience in development, fragile, or humanitarian settings
