Job Summary
The role involves providing bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll administration support to organizations that require additional expertise or resources. The successful candidate will help clients address routine financial operations, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Accountancy (55%)
- Provide bookkeeping support and prepare financial statements for clients
- Prepare supplier payment schedules
- Maintain clients’ books of accounts
- Perform monthly bank and supplier reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Provide audit support assistance
- File monthly VAT and withholding tax returns
Payroll Administration (30%)
- Process payroll data and perform necessary computations
- Verify accuracy of payroll reports
- Handle statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, HELB, WCF, etc.)
- Support client registration with NHIF/NSSF
- File monthly statutory returns (NSSF, WCF, PAYE, SDL)
- Update fund tracker promptly for receipts and payments
Risk Management (5%)
- Ensure adherence to KPMG risk management procedures
- Perform client risk assessments at the start of engagements
- Ensure all client files comply with KPMG global standards
- Confirm deliverables align with engagement letters
- Maintain proper documentation for all assignments
Other Responsibilities (10%)
- Maintain proper filing of working papers
- Assist in proposal writing for prospective clients
- Participate in client reporting and presentations
- Build internal relationships to support cross-selling opportunities
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and update fund trackers
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Manager

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA
- Strong knowledge and application of IFRS
- Understanding of income tax legislation in Tanzania
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
