Job Overview

Uganda Heart Institute invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans for two Receptionist positions. The successful candidates will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing reception and basic administrative support.

Job Purpose

To serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and handle basic administrative and front-desk tasks at the Institute.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the reception area and front desk in accordance with established standards.
Work with the clinical team to guide patients and direct them to appropriate service points.
Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently and maintain comprehensive call records in accordance with hospital guidelines.
Welcome, register and assist patients and visitors, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate offices.
Respond to enquiries and provide general information about departmental activities and services.
Communicate information about the hospital’s services in line with established policies and procedures.
Promote effective coordination between internal and external customers and the Institute’s departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess:

A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a credit in English.
A certificate in Customer Care, Public Relations or other related training.
