IT Manager – Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Job Summary

The IT Manager – Infrastructure & Cybersecurity operates within a hybrid IT environment that integrates locally managed systems with Group platforms, shared services, and external providers at TotalEnergies.

This is a management role responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and security of all IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. The position has end-to-end responsibility for on-premise, cloud, and third-party hosted environments, as well as the local implementation of Group cybersecurity standards. Availability outside normal working hours may be required for major incidents or critical maintenance.

Infrastructure Scope

• Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN), including wired and wireless environments
• Network and perimeter security (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS)
• Servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and operating systems
• Cloud and hybrid IT environments
• Identity and access management, and endpoint security platforms
• SCADA-related infrastructure, including microwave/radio and Ethernet backbone networks supporting well-pad connectivity

Local Enterprise Cybersecurity Officer (LeCSO)

The role also functions as the Local Enterprise Cybersecurity Officer (LeCSO), acting as the operational owner of cybersecurity at site level.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enforcing Group cybersecurity policies and requirements locally
• Acting as the main point of contact with headquarters cybersecurity teams
• Coordinating detection, response, remediation, and reporting of cybersecurity incidents
• Leading vulnerability and patch management processes
• Supporting cybersecurity audits, findings, and action plans
• Maintaining cyber inventories, including CMDB and system mapping

Key Responsibilities

Personnel & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure and cybersecurity teams
• Define objectives, assign responsibilities, and evaluate performance
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development
• Promote a culture of operational excellence, security awareness, and accountability

Infrastructure Management

• Design and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure
• Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems
• Oversee lifecycle management, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
• Act as escalation point for major incidents

Cybersecurity Operations

• Execute LeCSO responsibilities
• Coordinate monitoring, incident response, and remediation
• Track vulnerabilities, KPIs, and remediation actions
• Ensure cybersecurity is integrated into infrastructure design and operations

Strategy, Architecture & Execution

• Contribute to IT and cybersecurity strategy
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions
• Align local systems with Group IT and cybersecurity standards

Vendor & Service Management

• Manage relationships with infrastructure and cybersecurity vendors
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and cybersecurity requirements
• Participate in vendor assessments and contract reviews

Quality, Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to IT and cybersecurity controls
• Support audits and manage remediation plans
• Maintain system, process, and incident documentation

Change & Performance Management

• Oversee change management processes
• Approve and document system changes
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements

Business Continuity & Resilience

• Oversee disaster recovery and backup solutions
• Support Business Impact Analysis and recovery planning
• Ensure regular testing and continuous improvement of resilience strategies

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, architecture, and team management
• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies in a corporate environment
• 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity technologies across enterprise networks and systems
