Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for end-to-end Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) administration and operations. This includes maintaining accurate customer credit information to support credit decisions, liaising with the Central Bank and CRB providers, managing third-party/vendor risks, and producing regulatory, audit, and management reports with strong data integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Support delivery of the CRB unit strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and service delivery
Enablement Standards
- Promote consistent use of operating procedures and standard work
- Apply a risk-based approach and strengthen engagement with auditors and regulators
- Embed governance and reporting best practices
- Support a zero operational loss and âfirst time rightâ culture
- Assist with regulatory and audit requests
Business
- Own CRB operations end-to-end
- Act as liaison with regulators and CRB providers
- Manage third-party/vendor relationships, including SLAs, performance, and issue resolution
Processes
- Prepare, validate, and submit CRB and regulatory reports
- Update extraction logic to meet changing reporting requirements
- Submit Bank of Uganda monthly and statutory reports
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
- Manage disputes and data corrections
- Produce management and productivity reports
- Manage access to CRB platforms and end-user computing tools
- Reconcile invoices and support audits and regulatory reviews
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships
- Coordinate vendor review meetings and resolve operational issues
- Support credit fulfilment, monitoring, and custodial activities
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned
People & Talent
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Complete learning plans and milestones
- Support business continuity and resource risk management
Risk Management
- Promote a strong compliance culture
- Conduct monitoring in line with the Operational Risk Framework
- Follow procedures and escalate control or policy breaches
- Execute KCSA and CST controls on time
- Monitor KRIs and implement corrective actions
- Engage second-line functions for reviews and escalations
Governance
- Ensure effective MIS reporting for performance and risk monitoring
- Analyse reports and support remediation actions
- Comply with internal and external governance requirements
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Uphold high ethical standards aligned with Group values and Code of Conduct
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Identify, escalate, and resolve compliance and conduct risks
Stakeholder Engagement
Internal
- Client Management teams, Country Client Management Head
- Country Compliance, Group Internal Audit
- Lending, Credit, Finance, Risk, and Financial Crime teams
External
- Bank of Uganda
- Uganda Bankers Association CRB/Credit Committees
- CRB service providers and third-party vendors
Other Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Degree with 2â3 yearsâ relevant experience in credit, data reporting, statistics, or banking operations
- Knowledge of credit bureau operations and lending risk
- Strong banking fundamentals
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic database or SQL knowledge
- Dispute resolution skills
- High integrity and strong compliance mindset
