Job Summary
The Logistics Manager will manage and oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials, goods, services, personnel, supplies and transport services for UNOC, its subsidiaries and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish UNOC’s logistics operational structure.
- Ensure compliance with logistics laws and regulations.
- Plan logistics requirements for projects and activities.
- Support logistics operations across UNOC projects.
- Prepare logistics budgets and control expenditure.
- Develop logistics procedures and supply planning controls.
- Negotiate and manage logistics contracts and purchases.
- Manage stock and inventory systems.
- Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs.
- Maintain inventory integrity and process controls.
- Prepare logistics and support plans.
- Manage vehicle fuel, repairs and maintenance costs.
- Promote safety in logistics operations.
- Lead, mentor and develop logistics staff.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or a relevant field.
- At least 8 years’ operational and management experience in oil and gas, construction, manufacturing or another highly regulated commercial sector.
- At least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in procurement, logistics and transport/distribution.
- Logistics management and supervision experience.
- Fuel distribution and transportation experience is an added advantage.
- Logistics engineering experience is an added advantage.
- SAP/ERP experience is an added advantage.
