Job Overview

Roofings Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage customer payments, cash and cheque receipts, daily reconciliations, petty cash accountability, and banking documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, safeguarding payment documentation, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all cash-related transactions are properly accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cash and cheque receipts for customers.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and banking transactions and submit summarized reports.
• Maintain accountability for petty cash payments through properly authorized vouchers.
• Safely maintain and properly file deposit slips and unbanked cheques.
• Stamp sales orders with the amount paid, receipt number, and payment date.
• Ensure all current cheques received are promptly submitted for banking.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Verify that cash and sales records are fully balanced before close of business.
• Promptly report any discrepancies or irregularities to the relevant supervisor or manager.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Business Administration
  • A related business field

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a retail cashier.
