Ronnie led the race as we followed like lambs behind their mother. When we reached the main road, he departed without a word. Gerald didn’t seem bothered by it. I exchanged glances with Stone, clearly mounting up questions in our minds. Gerald fed our puzzled looks by breaking to us that Ronnie had gone to get a car. I think that’s what they’d been discussing about earlier. The need of a car for that mission was quite obvious; I don’t know why it had skipped my mind.
