Job Overview

Uganda Heart Institute invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans for the position of Radiographer. The successful candidate will provide diagnostic imaging services in support of patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Purpose

To provide safe, accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services by performing radiographic examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive patients and assess their X-ray requests.
• Prepare X-ray equipment according to the examination requests.
• Liaise with ward management to prepare patients for X-rays.
• Take X-ray images, process X-ray films and prepare reports for the doctor or clinical officer.
• Maintain X-ray equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Diploma in Medical Radiology from a recognised institution.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
