Job Summary

The Products Trading Officer (Accounts Manager) will onboard and manage petroleum products trading customers, ensuring strong business relationships and consistent fulfilment of customer demand.

The role will validate customer product requirements and coordinate internal activities to allocate volumes that support sustainable market supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and onboard Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
  • Develop customer terms and conditions aligned with UNOC objectives and regulations.
  • Implement approved products trading processes.
  • Manage assigned customer portfolios.
  • Monitor petroleum product market prices.
  • Support appropriate product pricing.
  • Initiate and follow up customer product orders through UNOC and logistics partners’ ERP systems.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Monitor customer ordering, payments and product evacuation.
  • Track business risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Support QHSS3E systems and processes.
  • Manage day-to-day OMC relationships and customer service.
  • Manage product volume allocations and resolve customer grievances.
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement planning.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years’ demonstrable work experience, preferably in downstream petroleum products trading.
  • Postgraduate training in petroleum products trading is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of HSE principles is an added advantage.
