Rajiv Memorial Scholarships 2025/2026
Victoria University has announced a call for applications for the Rajiv Memorial Scholarships 2025/2026, offering 100 fully funded Master’s scholarships to outstanding graduates of the university’s Class of 2025.
The scholarships are funded by the Ruparelia family and the Ruparelia Foundation in loving memory of the late Rajiv Ruparelia, who was Managing Director of the Ruparelia Group and a trustee of the Ruparelia Foundation. Victoria University is one of the education institutions under the Ruparelia Group.
According to the call for applications issued by the Office of the Vice Chancellor, the initiative is designed to honour Rajiv’s legacy of excellence, leadership and service by supporting high-performing graduates to pursue postgraduate education.
“This landmark initiative offers 100 fully funded Master’s scholarships that honour the enduring leadership and service of the late Rajiv Ruparelia, a legacy defined by excellence, leadership and service,” the university said in the call for applications.
The scholarships are exclusively for Victoria University Class of 2025 top performers and will be awarded under the July/August 2026 intake.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be bachelor’s degree graduates of Victoria University from the Class of 2025. They must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, good conduct and proven academic leadership.
Applicants must also either hold an admission letter or be eligible for admission into a Victoria University Master’s programme.
The scholarship is targeted at graduates who are not only academically strong but also ready to contribute to the university’s academic life. Successful applicants must be willing to serve as Research Assistants or Tutorial Assistants, supporting Work Integrated Learning each trimester.
Applicants must have a clean disciplinary record, with no history of examination malpractice or formal warnings. They must also be ready to meet the required application, registration, functional and LMS fees.
Academic and leadership requirements
To be considered, applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 4.3, equivalent to a Second Class Upper or above.
Priority will be given to applicants with strong final-year research, conference presentations or innovation projects.
Beyond academic merit, applicants must show proven leadership and character through student leadership, clubs, entrepreneurship, volunteerism or community service. They are also required to submit a recommendation letter from their Dean or Head of Department confirming their leadership ability and integrity.
What the scholarship covers
A total of 100 Master’s scholarships will be awarded under the Rajiv Memorial Scholarships Programme.
Each award is presented as a tribute to Rajiv Ruparelia’s legacy of excellence, leadership and commitment to education.
Scholars will be expected to complete their programmes within two academic years and submit a dissertation of publishable quality.
Victoria University says the selection process will be guided by transparency, fairness and accountability under the university’s approved framework. The university also says it will give due attention to gender balance, support for students with disabilities and fair representation across all faculties.
Conditions for successful scholars
Successful applicants will be required to maintain the required academic performance of at least a Second Class Upper, attend seminars, workshops and graduate training sessions, participate in mentorship, outreach and innovation activities, and submit progress reports at the end of every trimester.
They will also be required to sign the Rajiv Memorial Scholarships Contract.
The university says an award may be terminated on grounds that include poor academic performance, academic misconduct, plagiarism, criminal behaviour, extended absenteeism or breach of university policies.

Applicants must submit the official application form, a Victoria University admission letter, academic documents and an updated CV.
They must also submit a personal statement and a recommendation letter.
